In the United States, Tesla consumers wanting to be among the first to experience the Model 3 will need to pay down a deposit of $1,000 as soon after the March 31 deadline as possible. The Model 3 will attract a price tag of close to $60,000 in Australia, making it well over 50 percent more expensive than the $35,000 price tag that has been mooted for that United States.
